Need help in golf!!!!?

i need help on the clubs i need to use like when and where to use them.
and what the numbers mean.and what number stands for a pw and a sw
im a beginner golfer and i golfed yesterday used my dads old set. and it was my first time.
i loved it and
wanna get more into it

Go to a driving range to see how far you hit each club. That way you can choose the right club for the distance you have to hit.

Drivers (Fat heads) 1 hits furthest and low; 7 hits higher so shorter (good if the wind is behind you)

Irons: 3 Low and long; 4 to 6 Medium length and easier to swing; 7 to 9 High loft shorter (Good to practise with to get onto the green)

PW = Pitching Wedge (Get out of trouble with this – short distance)
SW = Sand Wedge to get out of sand bunkers

Putter (Practise a lot with this before each game. It can help lower your score)
